Pinery Provincial Park - September 28 to October 2, 2006

We took a chance on the September weather and decided to take in 4 days of camping at Pinery, it's one of our favourite spots in the fall.



So far, the weather is cooperating, we have had rain overnight each evening, but Friday and Saturday have been good. It's cool at night, about 5C, the furnace in the RV is doing it's job.

We did a trail or two and looked for deer. The count is down over previous years, we haven't seen one yet.

This is the Ausable river below the dam in the park, the water level is down and the fall colours are out in full:

We waited on the observation tower for a while to see if the turkey vultures would soar by, but they were not cooperating, the thermals were better closer to the lake.
